Froglife organise a wide range of events throughout the year to suit people of all ages, abilities and levels of experience. Here you will find a list of our planned events and activities along with all the information you should need. If you have any further questions of queries, please do not hesitate to contact us – the details for the person organising the event are given below.
Come down to Peterborough’s Rowing Lake to cheer on Froglife’s ‘Dragon Finders’ as we take on our 4th Dragon Boat Festival!
The Festival is open to everyone and up to 52 crews are expected to battle it out over the 200m race course on Saturday 9th June 2018, watched by several thousand spectators.
The 20th anniversary event is in aid of Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice and whether you’re a spectator or competitor a fabulous day is guaranteed with plenty of bankside family entertainment including funfair activities, inflatables and children’s rides plus a variety of food stalls and bar.
Froglife will not be running any activities, but we’re happy to answer questions – just come over and say hello!
Come along to the Thorney Park Farm Open & Vintage Weekend for a whole lot of fun!
Froglife will be there on Sunday 10th June, running free Dragon Fun Day activities, and there will be lots more to see and do too.
Take a look at their website for more information and details of where to find the farm: www.parkfarmthorney.co.uk
The Dragon Finder team will be running fun, educational activities for all the school groups attending the Kids Country Food & Farming Day to get involved with!
Find out more about the event here: www.kids-country.co.uk/ffd
Froglife will be bringing our Dragon Fun Day activities to the Langdyke Trust’s ‘Summer at Swaddywell’ event, where there will be a range of things to see and do including pond-dipping, bug hunting, butterflies and orchids!

Come along to The Booksmith in Weedon Bec this July and see our beautiful River Nene Mapestry on display! This tapestry map of the River Nene and its surrounding areas was created by over 1000 local people with the help of textile artist Liliane Taylor! Why not stop by, take a look and enjoy the wonderful coffee and books this lovely shop has to offer?
We’d love to hear what you think, why not leave a comment in the visitors book or get in touch with your feedback here.
Help us and the Nene Park volunteers to manage habitats around the ponds we created in 2016, close to the Peterborough Rowing Lake.
Bring sturdy footwear and wear appropriate clothing for carrying out practical outdoor tasks.
